“Our prayer is that as you see God’s work unfolding before your very eyes, you will be inspired to get involved with us to be his ‘witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in Judaea and Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.'” – David Johnson, Executive Director
Upcoming Christian Mission Trips
1) Jordan, Germany, & Austria
Dates: February 24th – March 4th 2018 (Register by January 5, 2018*)
Purpose: We will be traveling to these 3 countries to visit refugees that live both inside and outside of camps. Since Global Refugee Outreach (GRO) is so new for Doulos this trip will be our first time to meet the leaders in these areas and to see the work in person. We will not only receive reports as to how the Lord is moving the initiative forward, but we will go inside the camps, where access is allowed, as well as outside the camps to share Jesus, meet physical needs, and to hear their stories.
Our heart is to see as many of these displaced people come to faith in Christ, to be discipled, to a part of a church, and then one day when they get to go home that they will be indigenous missionaries reaching their own countrymen with the gospel. Going on this trip will be a wonderful opportunity to be a part of the early stages of carrying out that mission.
Note: This trip will be fast-paced as we will spend a few days in each country taking in as much as we can while there. We will also be on and off airplanes and trains covering a lot of ground in a short amount of time. So, if you go on this trip gird up your travel loins and be flexible.
2.) Tanzania- Africa
Dates: July 10th – July 19th 2018 (Register by March 15, 2018*)
Purpose: The Doulos team will join a group from Reaching Souls, our partner to Africa, to be a part of a vision tour of the work of our national missionaries in Tanzania. Many of you have been investors in this work for many years and this would be a wonderful opportunity for you to go and see first hand the fruits from your giving and prayer support. For those of you who are new to Doulos, this would be a chance for you to confirm your new decision to be a partner or to help you make your choice to get in the yoke with Doulos Partners to advance the gospel to this part of the world.
This encounter in the field will be a life-changing experience. It will both bless and enrich your life as you get to meet and talk to the national missionaries and to hear some of the things that the Lord is doing in their families, villages, and congregations. You will have opportunities to participate in worship, baptisms, missionary training, open air preaching, orphan care reporting, and powerful Testimonies
Note: We will do a 1-day excursion at the end of the trip on a safari. The breathtaking beauty of this country and the wonderful animals that God has created will blow you away. You can’t ever tell, you might even get to walk with lions and ride an elephant. There will also be an opportunity to shop at one of their markets to be able to bring home authentic African souvenirs.
Dates: November 3rd – November 10th 2018 (Register by July 27, 2018*)
Purpose: To participate with a US team traveling into a communist, socialistic, dictator controlled country, and see first hand how the Lord is using the Cuban believers to advance the gospel at an amazing rate. The members will get to travel this beautiful country taking in all the sights, sounds, smells, and tastes of Cuban culture. We will get to preach, teach, testify, worship with, pray over, have fellowship with, and baptize new believers while there. This will be an amazing journey for any believer.
Note: This trip traditionally fills up very quickly, so, if you are interested you need to let us know that ASAP!
*Registration deadlines are in place to ensure that all visas can be applied for and received in time for trip departure.
What Do We Do On Mission Trips?
What we do on a trip will depend a lot of the destination; however, there are some things that we do on just about every trip:
- Preach/ teach
- Share our testimonies
- Baptize new believers
- Train church planters
- Hear reports and testimonies from the church planters
- Sing, worship with, and pray over the leaders of the congregations
On every trip the participants learn a great deal about a different culture: its language, its history, its food, its traditions, its topography, its successes, and its failures.
If you choose to go with us on one of our upcoming trips, be prepared to be changed and come back convicted, yet inspired.
