“Our prayer is that as you see God’s work unfolding before your very eyes, you will be inspired to get involved with us to be his ‘witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in Judaea and Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.'” – David Johnson, Executive Director
Upcoming Christian Mission Trips
1) Punjab, India
Dates: April 3rd – April 11th 2017 (Register by Feb. 27th, 2017*)
Purpose: We will be traveling to the state of Punjab to work with indigenous leaders in the Northwestern part of India. The team will be sharing the gospel through preaching and personal testimonies, while also leading in worship, doing training, and encouraging and praying over these precious people. We will also be hearing field reports from the church planters about how the gospel is advancing in the region and how the congregations are doing with discipleship and church planting.
When we were last in Punjab, April of 2014, there were churches that had been planted in just over 400 villages. It will be exciting to hear how much progress has been made since our last visit. Our team will travel every day to different villages to experience first hand the Indian culture and to fellowship with these believers. We are excited to go back to this region of India to help advance the kingdom and to pour into the followers of Jesus who live there.
Note: India is not an easy travel destination. The food out in the villages can be hard to navigate and there are several shots that are required before departing. It is also necessary to take malaria pills to ensure the upmost safety for our team members. With that said, please contact us ASAP if you are planning to go so that we can help coach you as you prepare. We have never had a team member get sick while in India but we want to take every precaution.
2) Jinja, Uganda – Africa
Dates: June 9th – June 18th 2017 (Register by April 3rd, 2017*)
Purpose: The Doulos team will join a group from Reaching Souls, our partner in Africa, to be a part of a vision tour of the work of our national missionaries in Uganda. Many of you have been investors in this work for many years and this would be a wonderful opportunity for you to go and see first hand the fruits from your giving and prayer support. For those of you who are new to Doulos, this would be a chance for you to confirm your new decision to be a partner or to help you make your choice to get in the yoke with Doulos Partners to advance the gospel to this part of the world.
This encounter in the field will be a life-changing experience. It will both bless and enrich your life as you get to meet and talk to the national missionaries and to hear some of the things that the Lord is doing in their families, villages, and congregations. You will have opportunities to participate in worship, baptisms, missionary training, open air preaching, orphan care reporting, and powerful Testimonies.
Note: We will do a 1-day excursion at the end of the trip on a safari. The breathtaking beauty of this country and the wonderful animals that God has created will blow you away. You can’t ever tell, you might even get to walk with lions and ride an elephant. There will also be an opportunity to shop at one of their markets to be able to bring home authentic African souvenirs.
3) Santa Clara, Cuba
Dates: November 4th-November 11th 2017 (Register by July 31st, 2017*)
Purpose: To participate with a US team traveling into a communist, socialistic, dictator controlled country, and see first hand how the Lord is using the Cuban believers to advance the gospel at an amazing rate. The members will get to travel this beautiful country taking in all the sights, sounds, smells, and tastes of Cuban culture. We will get to preach, teach, testify, worship with, pray over, have fellowship with, and baptize new believers while there. This will be an amazing journey for any believer.
Note: This trip traditionally fills up very quickly, so, if you are interested you need to let us know that ASAP!
*Registration deadlines are in place to ensure that all visas can be applied for and received in time for trip departure.
What Do We Do On Mission Trips?
What we do on a trip will depend a lot of the destination; however, there are some things that we do on just about every trip:
- Preach/ teach
- Share our testimonies
- Baptize new believers
- Train church planters
- Hear reports and testimonies from the church planters
- Sing, worship with, and pray over the leaders of the congregations
On every trip the participants learn a great deal about a different culture: its language, its history, its food, its traditions, its topography, its successes, and its failures.
If you choose to go with us on one of our upcoming trips, be prepared to be changed and come back convicted, yet inspired.
