The Board of Directors serves many roles at Doulos Partners, including being the organization’s advisors and accountability partners. Our board is also actively involved with each partner where we support church planting efforts.
As you’d expect, our board is not made up of people who simply have a business interest in our work. The people who serve Doulos in this way are seriously invested in what God is doing for His Kingdom, and they see it as their role to work together in carrying out the Great Commission.
Meet Mark
In addition to being a Christ-follower, board member Mark Fillers is married to his best friend since college, has three boys, and works as a banker. He loves spending time with his family, and he also loves to fish. Mark truly has a heart for ministry, and that heart shines in his work with Doulos Partners.
Mark first met David Johnson, the founder of Doulos Partners, through JH Outback America in Mobile, Alabama. They have maintained a steady friendship for nearly a decade.
“Doulos Partners really made an impact on me with its mission and focus of spreading the Gospel all over the world by empowering the indigenous,” Mark says. “Its efficient delivery and commitment to transparency is like nothing I’ve ever seen.”
Mark believes that this business model is a large part of why Doulos has been on ROI Ministries’ Top 10 List for multiple consecutive years—because since inception we, as an organization, have committed ourselves to using donations exclusively to support church planting in the field and finding the most effective ways to share about Christ with people who have not heard.
