Plan for Salvation

What do you think it takes for a person to go to Heaven? If you are unsure, keep reading and discover God’s directions to receive eternal life!

God’s Answer: as simple as the ABC’s

ADMIT you are a sinner

The Bible says that…

“ALL have sinned and fall short of God’s glory.” — Romans 3:23

“ALL we like sheep, have gone astray, we have turned everyone to his own way…” — Isaiah 53:6

BELIEVE that Jesus is God’s Son

The Bible also says we must believe that Jesus is God’s Son and He came to save us…

“For God so loved the world that He GAVE His only begotten Son, that whoever BELIEVES in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” — John 3:16

The word “whosoever” means you!

The Apostle Paul said to the Philippian jailor, “BELIEVE on the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved.” — Acts 16:31

CALL upon the name of the Lord

CALL means to confess…

“That if you CONFESS with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved.” — Romans 10:9-10

“Everyone who CALLS on the name of the Lord will be saved.” — Romans 10:13

Would you like to experience God’s Forgiveness and His Eternal Life?

You can personally invite Christ to come into your life by praying a SINNER’S PRAYER. If you are ready, step out in faith and pray:

“Dear God, I admit that I am a sinner and I can’t save myself. I believe you died on the Cross for me. I call upon you as my Savior. Please forgive my sin and make me part of your family. I commit myself to you now and forever. In Jesus’ name I pray. AMEN.”

Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” — Romans 10:13

The S of the ABC’s stands for SUPPORT

1. Evidence that your commitment is real is by being baptized and becoming a part of the Body of Christ.

“Those who accepted his message were baptized, and about three thousand were added to their number that day. They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.” — Acts 2:41-42

2. Read God’s Word daily — it is food for your spiritual growth. Begin with the Gospel of John.

“All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness.” — 2 Timothy 3:16

3. Pray to communicate constantly with God.

“Pray continually.” — 1 Thessalonians 5:17

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by PRAYER and petitiion, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” — Philippians 4:6-7

4. Tell others about what Jesus has done for you.

“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my WITNESSES in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” — Acts 1:8
