As we celebrate this Holy Week by remembering the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, we are reminded that this good news is still met with hostility toward those who believe.
Our prayers are needed for one of our leaders and his team in India. Riots are breaking out in his area (pictured below) in response to the murders of several Hindu leaders in recent days. When this happens, Christians are often automatically accused and attacked before the facts are known. This brother has been stuck in a railway station and unable to return home due to the riots.
In addition to the rioting, we received news that a new brother in Christ has been murdered because he had become a Christian and was baptized. We don’t know any other details yet, but let’s begin praying for his family.
These urgent prayer needs remind us that around the world, there are those on the front lines who are finding their hope in the risen Christ. In turn, they are placing themselves in great danger, even death, for the glory of God and the advancement of His Kingdom. They have experienced the living Christ, they have counted the cost, and they are committed to being the beautiful feet that bring the good news to those who need to hear.
